Greatly done! With the long face and the solemn look. And Ice of course. You can clearly see it's a double handed sword. For the life of me i cannot understand why people draw those huge swords with enough room on the handle for only one hand. Even fencing swords, which are comparatively sissy, are heavier then they seem, i can't imagine how heavy great swords are.
Okay, so Ice weights 5 kg. Less than your average Christmas turkey. It sounds pretty light, but if you have to fight for hours swinging those 5 kg around with just one hand, your shoulder and arm muscles are going to cramp into oblivion, notwithstanding the weight of the armor. I don't care how much training you've done, you will get exhausted quite quickly and your enemies will thank you for it. So either you have muscles the size of melons, like the Mountain, or you swing broadswords with two hands.
You are right. I never said you had to swing then one-handed, which is totally impossible given the sheer size of it. And I think you meant greatswords in the above, a broadsword being a scottish basket-hilted sword.
Thanks!!! A longsword could be as heavy as 15 Kg (or 33 lbs!)!! I love how Sean Bean played the role in the series, and its really hard to imagine Ned otherwise, but... We cant deny Ned have dark hair and the long horse face, so, I tried my best!
